We would like to give you a brief tour of our practice...

Reception:
Our friendly receptionists – Jilly, Sue and Linda – are available from 8.30am until 7pm to arrange appointments for your pets and help with any queries you may have.

We stock a wide variety of Royal Canin Pet Foods, and various flea and worm products. Our nursing and reception staff can advise you as to which product is the most appropriate for your pet.

Consult rooms:
Vets and nurses use the consult rooms for appointments.

Our nursing team are available for nurse consultations during which they can clip your pet's nails, groom your pet, and administer medication.
The team is led by Head Nurse Caroline and consists of fully qualified veterinary nurses Hannah and Laura and trainee veterinary nurses Zoe and Sadie.

They also run free clinics for puppies, kittens, overweight animals, and older pets to provide specialised advice for these pets.

Our vets carry out consultations between 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday – Friday, and from 8.30am until 1pm on Saturday.

Prep room:
Our vets and nurses carry out many routine procedures such as blood sampling, blood pressure measurements, wound cleaning, and administration of medication in our prep room.

Theatre:
Our theatre is busy every day with both routine procedures (such as speys and castrates) as well as more complex procedures (such as mass removals and fracture repairs) being carried out here.

X-ray room:
We have x-ray and ultrasound facilities on-site, and have access to endoscopy equipment which is shared between the Active Vetcare practices.

Kennels:
All our in-patients are cared for by our nursing team who ensure that their stay in hospital is as comfy as possible.

We often transport our overnight patients to our Woodley clinic in the evening where the night nurse can keep a close eye on them. We use a pet ambulance run by PetNappers to transport our patients: this service will also transport your pets to and from our surgery if this is difficult for you to arrange.

Other services offered at Oakley Veterinary Clinic:
